Books Read in 2010

I thought it would be fun in a nerdy way to share the list of books/graphic novels/comic collections that I read in 2010. This was a big deal to me as I had a mission to read 50 books, not including graphic novels, within a year. I succeeded, and had I included graphic novels, I would have completely murdered that goal.

Anyway, for shits and giggs, here are two lists documenting every book I read in 2010, in the order that I read them, and along with the rating (out of five) that I gave them on my new favorite "social networking" site, Goodreads. Most of these were first time reads with the exception of the Rowling, Salinger and Tolkien books.

Quillen! HI! I just found your blog & I'm so excited that the first entry in here is all about books (nerd alert). However... I can't believe you gave The Kite Runner only 2/5 stars?! By the end of the book, I was emotionally distraught, but I think I'd still give it at least three stars. :)

You need to read Housseini's other novel, A Thousand Splendid Suns. Blows The Kite Runner out of the water.

Anyway, hope you are doing well! :)

Thank you for the comment, Rachel! Glad you found me, and long time no see and all that stuff.

The Kite Runner was a little too, I don't know... It combined drama with real life way too much. I like somewhat realistic novels with an element of fantasy thrown in, and I like full blown unbelievable things, but The Kite Runner offered too much reality, and the way the story went down was way too unbelievable for how realistic it was. A bit too sappy for me too. I do own A Thousand Splendid Suns, and will eventually be reading that one as well, as I have heard that it is better.

I hope you are doing good as well!
